“What operating systems does the Windows Renew service cover and is it scalable into the future?”
The Windows Renew service can be offered on Windows XP, Vista, and 7. It is also scalable so that it will cover future operating systems as well. We recommend that if you come across an XP user that you strongly recommend he/she upgrade to 7. XP is no longer supported by Microsoft and many new hardware components (e.g. printers, scanners, etc.) are shipping without XP drivers.
“How do the territorial rights work?”
If you choose our Gold or Platinum plan, you will receive territory rights. One territory covers a population of up to 300,000 people in your surrounding area, and grants you exclusive use of the Windows Renew branding and marketing material. It also locks out anyone from signing up with us and competing with you in your area. You may also secure multiple territories as you grow, if you wish to lock in other areas. Places that have over 300,000 people, such as metropolitan areas, will be broken up into multiple territories. For example, a city with 600,000 residents can handle up to 2 Windows Renew territories.
“What does it mean to be licensed to use the Windows Renew brand?”
Our Silver, Gold, and Platinum plans come with the license to use the Windows Renew brand. What this means is that in addition to being allowed to use our training and marketing ads, you will also be permitted to include the Windows Renew logo on your website and marketing material. Our branding can be included alongside your company name and will help you establish instant credibility because you will be connected to a global network. Our Basic plan does not include the license to use the Windows Renew brand, and what this means is that you can still use our training, marketing campaigns, etc. but can only include your company name and not the Windows Renew logo on the marketing materials we provide you.
“How much experience fixing computers does a new Windows Renew partner need to be successful?”
You do not need any previous experience fixing computers. The majority of problems people have with their computers are related to the Windows operating system being corrupt or infected with a virus. The Windows Renew service solves these problems. It’s 22-steps and incorporates software to automate a lot of those steps. Half of our partners have no experience when they join us. It typically takes about a week of practicing the Windows Renew service for “inexperienced” partners to pick up the service and feel confident in their ability to perform it successfully.
We also give you a telephone script to use when taking calls from prospects. The script tells you what questions to ask over the phone to pre-determine that the Windows Renew service can solve the problem. In the rare event that they are experiencing a hardware issue (computer does not load at all) you can still take the computer and outsource it to a local tech.
“What if I already own an existing computer repair business? Is Windows Renew only for entrepreneurs just starting out?”
We market our package with an angle of starting up the business from scratch because we do cover that aspect of the business and want new entrepreneurs to feel comfortable in knowing that they can get into this industry without having any existing business.
With that said, half of the people who do sign-up with us are existing computer repair business owners looking to jump-start their business and take it to the next level of growth. There are many strategies, tools and campaigns that are useful for business owners who are already established in this industry.
“Can you give me an idea of what other costs are involved in starting up this business (besides the cost of joining your program) that I should allot money for?”
We recommend giving yourself a good $500-$1000 extra to apply to this business. This will cover the cost of printing business cards, printing fliers, and getting those odds and ends items you need to run a business. You should also start to think about what you could potentially afford monthly in a marketing budget. Many of our partners do not have a marketing budget when they start. Many of our marketing campaigns do not require money to run. You can be successful starting off with our free campaigns, but should give your business extra time to grow organically. Some of our partners who start off with no marketing budget keep their full or part-time job in the beginning and make the switch to doing Windows Renew full-time once the business is bringing in profits that will sustain their lifestyle.
“How long does it take until this business is profitable?”
The amount of time it takes to launch this business and grow it to a point where it is bringing you a substantial income depends on many factors. Many of our partners are up and running within one month and bringing in profits within the first 3 months. What we’ve found is that the partners who follow our training and actually implement our strategies achieve results very quickly. For example, a partner in Indiana implemented our PR training and received over 70 appointment requests in the first month (totaling over $14,000 in sales) from two articles that he got written about him in the local papers. If you follow our training and implement our strategies your chances of success are very high. As with any business, we recommend you start this business with the mentality that it may take 6-12 months for you to thoroughly penetrate your market and establish substantial, steady income.
“How much money can I expect to make per appointment?”
From experience, we recommend that you charge $150 every time you perform a “Windows Renew” service. Since it takes just 2 hours to perform, that means you will average $75 an hour in profits. If you decide to let client’s drop their computers off at your home/office, you can service up to 4 computers at a time in about 3 hours, which would average you over $200 an hour!
We’re not even including the extra money you’ll make from selling antivirus software, Windows Operating System upgrades, and easy hardware add-ons you can bundle in! Your average sale per client will be between $250 – $300 and your average time onsite will be between 2 to 3 hours. If you average 10 appointments per week, you will bring in $156,000 in profits a year.
“Do I need a store-front or can I run this business out of my home?”
No, you do not need a store-front to successfully start this business. When you start your Windows Renew business you can begin by making money off of our free word-of-mouth, internet marketing, flyer, and email marketing campaigns and drive to the clients house to perform the service. That way they never have to know you work out of your home. All they will see is a professional website, professional marketing, and a professional on-site computer repair service.
Then, as you begin to increase your weekly revenue with your free marketing campaigns, you can start investing a percentage of your profits into paid advertising (e.g. – radio, google adwords, newspaper, etc.) and exponentially expand your profits.
